Two Bobs sheet 48-269 provides markings for ten different A-4 aircraft operated by the Commercial Air Services division of Draken International for US military training purposes. The aircraft are:
- A-4L 147768/N147AT based at Mojave, CA during July 2012. It carried a two tone disruptive camouflage scheme comprising FS16622 light grey and FS17038 black with all markings in black. It carried "DRAKEN International" on the fin with the BuNo number and N number underneath the jet exhaust;
- A-4L 148582/N207AT based at Mojave, CA during July 2012, painted and marked identically to N147AT;
- TA-4K 157914/N140EM at Mojave, CA during October 2013 and carrying a single color scheme comprising dark green FS34079. Markings were predominantly black - "DRAKEN International" was carried on the mid fuselage with a large Draken badge on the fin. On the rear fuselage was "N140EM" above a black New Zealand roundel (as these aircraft were supplied from New Zealand);
- TA-4K 157915/N141EM at Nellis AFB during April 2016 and carrying a single color scheme comprising dark green FS34079. Markings were predominantly black - "DRAKEN International" was carried on the mid fuselage with a large Draken badge on the fin. On the rear fuselage was "N141EM" above a black New Zealand roundel (as these aircraft were supplied from New Zealand);
- TA-4K 154904/N142EM at Nellis AFB during January 2014, marked identically to 157914;
- TA-4K 154905/N143EM at Nellis AFB during January 2014, marked identically to 157914;
- TA-4K 154908/N144EM at Nellis AFB during August 2019, marked identically to 157914;
- A-4K 155052/N145EM at Nellis AFB during August 2017, marked identically to 157914;
- A-4K 155063/N146EM at Nellis AFB during February 2018, marked identically to 157914;
- A-4K 155069/N147EM at Edwards AFB during August 2015, marked identically to 157914/N140EM.
Two Bobs provide 2 full colour double-sided A3-sized instruction sheets with left and right side views for each aircraft, upper and lower drawings for the two different schemes, full color call-outs and some additional detail photos.
The decals (printed by Cartograf) are provided on three sheets - the main one with all the individual aircraft markings and stencils for two aircraft, and the second and third being inserts with additional markings that didn't fit on the main sheet.
It's a real pity that this sheet is not available in 1/72 but is highly recommended for those of you who build to 1/48!
