Wolfpak Decals sheet 72-090 "Steel Tigers" provides markings for a batch of Vietnam-era aircraft, including 2 RF-101Cs, an F-4E, O-2B and AC-119K. The aircraft are:
- RF-101C-55-MC 56-207 from the 45th TRS at Tan Son Nhut AB during 1964. Overall ADC Grey FS16473 with black "FB-207" buzz numbers;
- RF-101C-40-MC 56-172 from the 363rd TRW at Shaw AFB during 1963, painted identically to 56-207;
- F-4E-35-MC 67-0284 from the 34th TFS at Korat RTAFB during 1971, used for forward air control and known as the "Tiger FACs". It was painted in the South East Asian scheme comprising dark green FS34079, medium green FS34102 and tan FS30219 upper surfaces with light grey FS36622 lower surfaces. It carried white "JJ" tailcodes, a large black, red and white sharknose and very large "TIGER FAC" badge on the intake under the rear cockpit;
- O-2B-CE 67-21469 from the 9th SOS, 14th SOW at Nha Trang AB during 1968. It was painted in the South East Asian scheme, although the bottom of the fuselage was mainly gloss black;
- AC-119K 53-7830 'Fly Unlimited' from the 18th SOS, 14th SOW at Nha Trang AB during 1970. It wore the South East Asian scheme but with gloss black undersurfaces. Markings were predominantly Insignia Red FS11136 and the aircraft carried "FLY UNLIMITED" in white on the nose underneath a large yellow goose artwork.
Instructions follow the standard for Wolfpak - a side view of each aircraft, black and white camouflage schemes and copious aircraft history, colour information and weapons loadouts.
The decals are printed by Fantasy Printshop in prefect register, although the white does seem slightly translucent on the sheet.
