This sheet from Wolfpak Decals has been much awaited as it provides (amongst many aircraft) markings for the 23rd Wing’s shark-mouth F-16Cs! The aircraft featured include:

  • F-16C-40C 88-0486 “FT” “23 WG” from the 23rd FG, based at Pope AFB during March 1994. It retained the original three-tone grey scheme, comprising FS36118, FS36270 and FS36375. It carried black FT tailcodes and “23 WG” outlined in white, blue/red/green find stripe and a large full colour shark-mouth on the nose;
  • F-16C-40K 90-0776 “FT” “74 FS” from the 23rd FG, again based at Pope AFB during March 1994. It was painted and marked identically to ‘486 but carried “74 FS” on the fin and had a blue tail band containing white stars;
  • F-16C-40C 87-351 “FT” from the 23rd FG, painted and marked similarly to ‘776 but with a standard tailcode and serial number;
  • A-1H 52-139778/ “TT” from the 602nd SOS at Nakhon Phanom RTAFB during June 1970. Standard South East Asian scheme comprising FS36079, FS36102 and FS30219 upper surfaces with FS36622 lower surfaces; standard South East Asian scheme comprising FS36079, FS36102 and FS30219 upper surfaces with FS36622 lower surfaces;
  • F-100F-20-NA 56-3813 “SD” from the 306th TFS, 31st TFW based at Tuy Hoa AB, South Vietnam during September 1970. It carried the standard South East Asian scheme comprising FS36079, FS36102 and FS30219 upper surfaces with FS36622 lower surfaces and a red fin cap.

The decal sheet is printed by Fantasy Printshop in good register. Instructions comprise a side view of each aircraft in colour, plus (very small) black-and-white camouflage scheme diagrams.

This sheet covers some very interesting subjects and is highly recommended!
