Title B-57 Canberra Part 1
Types Featured B-57B, B-57C, B-57E

There are very few B-57 Canberra sheets around, so this release from Xtradecal is much appreciated.  It covers 3 variants - the B-57B, B-57C and B-57E.  The airframes covered are as follows:-

  • B-57C 53-3840 "FS" from the 4424th CCTS, 1st TFW based at MacDill AFB, Florida during 1970.  The aircraft is in the standard South East Asia scheme of Dark Green (FS34079), Medium Green (FS34102), Tan (FS30219) with black undersides (FS37078)
  • B-57B 52-1541 from the 13th TBS, 3rd BW based at Kunsan AB, Korea during 1963.  Overall natural metal with red nose, failcone engine intake bullets and a red fuselage stripe
  • B-57B 52-1541 after being marked up as a Republic of Vietnam Air Force Aircraft, with the USAF markings removed and the Bars of the stars and bars painted in yellow
  • B-57E 55-4257, a Project Flagstaff aircraft as used by the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, based at Andrews AFB, Maryland during 1960. The aircraft is painted overall Gloss White (FS37875) with semi-gloss black wing leading edges and engine nacelles and with fluorescent orange stripes on the fuselage and tip tanks.  To build this aircraft, the Cobra Company detail/conversion will be needed (72018).

The sheet is well printed with everything in register, the decal film itself is thin and there is very little overlap of film.

The instructions are printed in color and comprise left and right views (where needed)  together with upper surface diagrams, color details and additional references.
