Two Bobs sheet 48-261 provides markings for two F-16Cs from the 36th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Wing based at Osan AB, South Korea. One is a "standard" squadron aircraft, but the second is marked to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the unit in 2017.

The two aircraft featured are:

  • F-16C-40 89-2043 during October 2017. This carried a special scheme to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the the 36th Fighter Squadron. The fin carried two broad sweeps of red, outlined in black. On the lower and mid fin was a large stylised sweep of black chequers. The lower fuselage skegs carried similar black chequers, as did the upper and lower horizontal stabilisers. Superimposed on the red sweeps was "FLYING FIENDS" in white, with "100 Years" on the black chequers, and "OS" was carried at the top of the fin in black. Wing (port) and squadron (starboard) badges were carried on the intake and a "The Flying Tigers" emblem was on the fuselage behind the canopy.
  • F-16C-40 88-0540 during April 2008. This carried the standard unit scheme , with a wide black chequered band on the fin, small black pony and a red fin tip, together with a gunship grey "OS". The wing badge was carried on the port intake, with the squadron badge to starboard.

Both aircraft carried the standard two-tone grey scheme, comprising FS36118 and FS36270.

As usual with Two Bobs, the decals are printed by Microscale in perfect register. The instruction sheet comprises a four-view of each aircraft, in full colour, with decal layout, colour information and a guide to paint.

Such a pity this sheet is not available in 1/72!
