Manufacturer Cutting Edge
Decal Sheet ID CED72020
Decal Sheet Title F-4Ds & RF-4Cs - Post-War & Foreign Operators #1
Types Featured F-4D, RF-4C

Cutting Edge did not produce many decals in 1/72nd scale with USAF subjects; however CED72020 featured markings for an F-4D from the 136th FIS, 107th FIG, New York ANG in addition to F-4Ds from the South Korean and Iranian Air Forces, and an RF-4C from the Spanish Air Force.

The USAF aircraft featured was F-4D-29-MC 66-7485 from the 136th FIS, 107th FIG, New York ANG during July 1989. This aircraft was painted in the Hill Grey II scheme, comprising FS26118 upper surfaces with FS26270 lower surfaces. Markings were in FS26118, with "AF66 485" on the fin together with an ANG crest, and a rhino's head on the nose. "Niagara Falls" was in dark blue on the fin tip, together with a blue and green fin flash.

Instructions comprise a single side view in color, together with upper and lower camouflage schemes. No stencils are provided and will need to be sourced from elsewhere. Similarly, walkway markings will need to come from either another kit, although Cutting Edge do provide 1/32 templates which could be copied and reduced in size.

Whilst this sheet has only one subject, it is quite colorful and features a unit which is rarely covered.
