Sheet 72-046 from Wolfpak covers a number of subjects, including the North Dakota ANG F-16s which were scrambled during 9-11, two F-102s in SEA camouflage and a Kadena-based E-3A

  • F-16A-15 82-0926 from the 178th FS, North Dakota ANG based at Langley AFB during September 2001. This aircraft was Flight Lead during the 9/11 response which became known as Operation Noble Eagle; This aircraft was painted in the two tone scheme of FS36118 and FS36270 with "ND" tail codes and markings in Gunship Grey. The fin carried a red band with "Happy Hooligans" in white and a North Dakota emblem on the nose;
  • F-16A-15 82-0929 from the 178th FS, North Dakota ANG based at Langley AFB during September 2001. This aircraft was Wing during the 9/11 response which became known as Operation Noble Eagle  and was marked identically to 82-0926;
  • F-16A-15 81-0789 from the 178th FS, North Dakota ANG based at Langley AFB during September 2001. This aircraft was the spare during the 9/11 response which became known as Operation Noble Eagle, again marked identically to 82-0926;
  • F-15C-23-MC 78-0544 from the 131st FS, Massachussetts ANG based at Barnes ANGB during March 2010. This aircraft was painted in the Mod Eagle scheme of FS36176 and FS36251;
  • F-102A-80-CO 56-1491 from the 82nd FIS based at Naha AB, Okinawa during June 1970. This aircraft was painted in the three tone South East Asia scheme of FS34079, FS34102 and FS30219 upper surfaces with FS36622 lower surfaces. It carried "NV" tail codes in white together with a red fin tip;
  • F-102A-95-CO 57-0864 from the 64th FIS based at Da Nang AB during May 1968. This aircraft was painted identically to 56-1491 but carried "PE" tailcodes;
  • E-3A 72-0352 from the 961st AACS based at Kadena AB during 1994. Overall Boeing Grey (FS16615) with White (FS17925) control surfaces. Markings comprise "ZZ" tailcodes and "70352" in black on the fin together with a red fin band.

As is Wolfpak's standard, instructions comprise a colour side view of each aircraft, additional scrap views where required and a set of three view camouflage schemes in black and white. Full history, color information and load-outs are provided for each aircraft.

Decals are printed by Fantasy Printshop and are in perfect register.

All in all, another interesting sheet with some unusual subjects!
