Decal Sheet ID 72-1036
Decal Sheet Title F-15C Eagle 1st TFW MiG Killer
Types Featured F-15C

Repli-Scale sheet 72-1036 covers a number of F-15C's from the 1st TFW during the 1st Gulf War. All are painted in the standard scheme of FS36375 overall with FS36320 disruptive camouflage on the upper surfaces.

The airframes featured are as follows:-

  • F-15C 82-021 - this was the commander's aircraft and carried "71st TFS" / "71st AMU" markings on the outer sides of the tailfins
  • F-15C 82-018 - this was the commander's aircraft on the return of the 71st TFS from Desert Shield/Storm
  • F-15C 83-014 - one of the deployed aircraft in standard markings with a red fin flash
  • F-15C 82-019 - another deployed aircraft
  • F-15C 83-026 - another deployed aircraft
  • F-15C 83-017 - this aircraft was a MiG killer and carried a kill marking (red star) on the nose

Repli-Scale sheets tend to be quite simplistic, and this is no exception.  The decal sheet itself is in register and contains a small selection of stencil data as well as the main markings and black "stars and bars".

The instructions are on a double-sized black and white sheet - again simplistic but adequate, and with a 3 view showing the camouflage scheme.

Overall, a useful sheet to have.
