Types Featured T-38A

VMDecals did not produce many sheets, but this is quite an interesting one, covering the T-38As used by NASA as chase planes for the Space Shuttle.  It allows all of the various NASA T-38s to be represented.

During the life of the T-38 in NASA service, there were at least 3 different schemes and this sheet covers all of them.  All had the same basic scheme of overall Insignia White (FS17875) with blue cheatlines, but there were 3 different tail markings - "NASA" in red, "NASA" in black on a yellow outline, and NASA in black over a red logo.

The sheet contains a complete set of serial numbers to enable any airframe to be modelled, although good references are needed as the style of tailcodes changed over the years.  In addition, the T-38s were operated from Langley Research Centre, Ames Research Centre, Dryden Flight Research Centre and Ellington Field.

The sheet is printed by Fantasy Printshop with everything in register, the decal film itself is thin and there is very little overlap of film.

The instructions are and comprise side views and a couple of scrap views of details.
