Check Six decals sheet 072003 provides markings for six different F-101s as follows:

  • F-101B-105-MC 58-0264 15 FIS, Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona during 1960. This was overall natural metal with the rudder painted in horizontal yellow/black stripes. The squadron and wing badges were painted on the forward fin and a long yellow chevron was on the mid-rear fuselage;
  • F-101B-110-MC 58-0306 18 FIS, Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota during 1965. This was overall ADC Grey (FS16473). On the fin were horizonal red/cream stripes with the wing and squadron badges superimposed and "Red River Queen" artwork was carried on the nose;
  • F-101B-105-MC 58-0295 132 FIS, Maine ANG during 1974. This was overall ADC grey and carried a stylised green tree/chevron on the fin containing "MAINE" in white. On the mid fuselage was "MAINEiacs" in green;
  • RF-101A-30-MC 54-1513 from the 29th TFS, 363rd TRW at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. This was used for camouflage trials and was painted overall semi gloss black with all markings in Insignia Red apart from a yellow lightning bolt on the fin containing TAC badges;
  • RF-101A-30-MC 54-1512 from the 29th TFS, 363rd TRW at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. This was another camouflage trials aircraft and is noted as being painted overall ADC grey with markings limited to a yellow lightning flash and TAC badges on the fin;
  • RF-101C-55-MC 56-221 from the 32nd TRS, 66th TRW at Laon AB, France during 1963. This was overall aluminium lacquer with a broad yellow band on the fin outlined in black and containing four white stars.

Instructions are on a single sided A4 sheet and provide a right side diagram of each aircraft, showing markings. Limited additional details are provied where relevant,

The decals themselves are matt and quite heavily drawn, but do provide some options not available elsewhere. However the white does not appear to be opaque and the register is not perfect.
