Superscale sheet 72-336 provides markings for F-16As and Bs from the 8th, 388th and 474th TFW. The airframes are:

  • F-16A-1 78-0002 "HL" from the 388th TFW at Hill AFB. THis carried black "HL" tailcodes and a TAC badge on the fin. The instructions do not show that the radome on this aircraft was black;
  • F-16A-10 80-0474 "NA" from the 474th TFW at Nellis AFB during August 1981. This was the Wing Commander's aircraft. It carried black "NA" tailcodes and "474 TFW" in black on the fin. ON the rudder were blue, yellow and red bands for each squadron (note that the blue on the decal sheet is wrong as it should be dark blue, not medium blue);
  • F-16A-10A 79-0367 "NA" from the 474th TFW at Nellis AFB. This carried a black "NA" tailcode, tail markings similar to 80-0474 but also carried a blue tail band;
  • F-16A-10 79-0333 "NA" from the 429th TFS, 474th TFW at Nellis AFB in August 1981. This carried a black "NA" tailcode, and a blue fin band;
  • F-16B-10B 79-0429 "NA" from the 429th TFS, 474th TFW at Nellis AFB. This carried a black "NA" tailcode and a yellow fin band. "429TH TFS" was also carried on the fin;
  • F-16A-10C 80-0486 "WP" from the 8th TFW at Kunsan AB, South Korea during December 1981. This wore black "WP" tailcodes and "PACAF-01" on the fin base;
  • F-16B-10B 79-0430 "NA" from the 430th TFW, 474th TFW at Nellis AFB during August 1981. This carried black "NA" tailcodes and a red fin band;
  • F-16B-10A 79-0428 "NA" from the 430th TFW, 474th TFW at Nellis AFB during August 1981. This carried black "NA" tailcodes and a red fin band;
  • F-16B-10C 80-0625 "WP" from the 35th TFS, 8th TFW at Kunsan AB, South Korea during December 1981 and carried black "WP" tailcodes. The fin tip was blue and black/yellow bands were carried on the cargo pods.

All aircraft wore the original F-16 three-tone-grey scheme comprising Gunship Grey FS36118, Neutral Grey FS36270 and Light Compass Ghost Grey FS36375.

Superscale provide two sets of the main early orange and black stencilling.

Instructions provide a left side view of each aircraft, together with an upper view showing the camouflage scheme.

This is a very old sheet now (!) but many of the unit markings are not available from other sources. However, comparison of the tailcodes and serials against newer sheets shows those on this sheet to be undersized, so they will need to be obtained from an alternative source.
