This kit is the HU-19B by Italeri. It is the floatplane equipped version of this rescue helicopter.
The basic kit goes together well enough, and the basic scheme is an attractive rescue scheme. The interior is basic but nicely done, with some basic seats and instrument panels. As this was to be a quick build, I decided to leave it as per the kit. In fact I started it on a Sunday morning, and by the evening, it was assembled and painted awaiting decals. There is a certain level of therapy involved in doing a simple build, especially if a certain amount of difficulty has been experienced with a more difficult and complicated build.
The main problem with this kit is a poor fit of the floats, which I never did get right. Still, they will do for me. Any complaints please send direct to my complaints division.
I used Tamiya Titanium silver for the finish, and decaled up at a later date.
