Types Featured C-54

Caracal Models sheet CD72045 is the second C-54 sheet from Caracal, with a total of nine options, four of which are for USAF aircraft. These are:-

  • C-54G 45-602 from the 83rd ATS assigned to the Atlantic Division of MATS, based at Grenier AFB during 1954. This was overall natural metal with an insignia red fin, rear fuselage and wingtops, "ATLANTIC DIVISION" on white on a blue fin stripe outlined in yellow, the MATS logo on the rear fuselage and a large nose flash in yellow outlined in blue;
  • SC-54D 42-72702 from MATS during 1963. Overall natural metal with a gloss white upper surface separated by an Insignia Blue cheatline. International Orange fin, rear fuselage, nose and wiing panles and an Insignia Yellow rear fuselage stripe and wingtips. It carried a blue fin flash outlined in yellow and containing "RESCUE" in white. The lower engine nacelles were painted matt black;
  • SC-54D 42-72696 from MATS during 1963. Overall natural metal with an Insignia Yellow fuselage band and a blue fin band, outlined in yellow and containing "RESCUE" in white;
  • VC-54D 42-72722 from the 127th TRW, Michigan ANG during 1971. Overall natural metal with a gloss white upper surface separated with an Insignia Blue cheatline. The Air National Guard crest was carried on the fin.

Instructions follow the standard format for Caracal - side views of each aircraft plus upper and lower camouflage and markings layouts. Printed by Cartograf, the decals are in perfect register and come on four separate sheets.
