Print Scale 72-482 provides markings for 5 North American F-86D Sabres. The aircraft featured are:

  • 51-6214 from the 16th FIS during 1955. It wore a black and white chequered fin with a blue stripe and the nose carried a vertical blue stripe. "FU-214" buzz numbers were carried on the rear fuselage;
  • 61-6024 from the 97th FIS during 1953. It wore large red artwork on the fuselage and black "FU-024" buzz numbers on the nose;
  • 53-719 from the 329th FIS. This carried a large red band on the fin with white panels either side and a white chevron. Diagonal red/white/red/white/red bands were carried on the nose with black "FU-719" buzz numbers superimposed, It also wore large squadron artwork on the fuselage;
  • 53-925 from the 49th FIS with a yellow lightning flash on the fin with superimposed "Black Knight" artwork. The nose wore "FU-925" buzz numbers;
  • 51-5936 from the 465th FIS during 1953. It wore a yellow fin with three red lightning flashes and black "FU936" buzz numbers on the nose.

All aircraft were natural metal. The instructions provide a left side view of each aircraft and small black-and white photographs.

The decals provide the correct style buzz numbers and "USAF" logos (the F-86 often wore North American-applied markings which were not in the Amarillo Pro font). However, the register is slightly out of alignment on some of the decals and the white is slightly cream and may not be sufficiently opaque.
