Another
excellent release from WolfPak. Mark Bilas
continues to seek out interesting subjects for his
sheets... This sheet covers 4 airframes, as
follows:-
- F-4D 60-267 "OY" of the 555th TFS, 8th FTW
at Ubon RTAFB, Thailand during September 1972,
in standard SEA scheme. This aircraft was
flown by Captain John Madden when he scored his
first 2 MiG kills on September 9th, 1972;
- F-15A 73-091 "LA" of the 555th TFS, 58th
TFTW at Luke AFB, Arizona during 1974.
This aircraft is in the original 2 tone Air
Superiority Blue scheme;
- F-15A 73-100 "LA" of the 555th TFTS, 58th
TFTW at Luke AFB, Arizona during 1975.
This aircraft is in the revised Compass Ghost
Grey scheme;
- F-102A 55-436 "PK" of the 509th FIS, 405th
FW at Udorn RTAFB, Thailand during 1969
This airframe is one of the late production
batch F-102A's and was fitted with the infrared
detector (IRST) and the later CASE XX wings.
For each airframe, WolfPak include a side view
with details of where individual markings are
placed, copies of the relevant page of TO 1-1-4, and
additional photographs where relevant. These are
black and white photocopies, with the side views in
colour.
Additionally, for each airframe, WolfPak provide
a history of the aircraft with additional details of
markings and specific colours (with FS595a
references). Details of weapons loadouts are
also provided.
Please note - the photographs do not show the
white tailcodes very well!
All in all, very useful!
